Frequently asked questions about ARO3A313XZ

Quick answers for monitoring teams and engineers evaluating this omnidirectional UHF ground-plane antenna for civil-band measurement activities.

What is the ARO3A313XZ used for?
It is designed for radiomonitoring, RF surveys and spectrum monitoring in the 430–470 MHz UHF civil band, in both fixed sites and mobile measurement setups.
Why is D.C. grounding important?
D.C. grounding helps reduce electrostatic charge build-up and improves robustness when connected to sensitive monitoring receivers and measurement equipment.
Does the radome affect typical monitoring use?
The radome is primarily intended for environmental protection (e.g., ice and weather exposure) to support stable, long-term outdoor monitoring installations.
What radiation pattern should I expect?
As an omnidirectional ground-plane antenna, it provides 360-degree coverage around the site, suitable when signals may arrive from multiple directions.
