Protel AR1070 Multi-Band Log-Periodic Antenna 680-2700 MHz for LTE/5G, GSM-R & FRMCS
Antenna designed and manufactured in Italy
The Protel AR1070 is a high-gain, multi-band directional log-periodic antenna covering 680-2700 MHz, developed for professional radio coverage in the most demanding infrastructures. It supports a wide range of mobile services, including LTE/5G, DCS 1800, UMTS 2100, and rail and mission-critical deployments such as GSM-R and FRMCS.
Thanks to its directional behavior and wide operating range, AR1070 is widely adopted as a donor antenna in repeaters and DAS architectures, and for engineered coverage of complex environments where stable link budgets and robust mechanics are required. Typical installations include road and motorway tunnels, railway tunnels, metro tunnels, underground stations, technical corridors, utility tunnels, underground car parks, and other underground areas such as service rooms and maintenance areas.
The antenna is available in Vertical, +45° or -45° polarization versions, enabling flexible system design and MIMO / diversity implementations depending on the network architecture and site constraints. For harsh sites, AR1070 is built with a fiberglass full radome as standard, with an optional flame retardant fiberglass radome for applications where enhanced material behavior is requested.
For additional protection and operational reliability, all metal parts and the inner connector are D.C. grounded. This feature supports improved lightning protection and reduces static charge accumulation, which is particularly valuable in exposed outdoor installations and long-running tunnel infrastructures.
